Join us for a day of free events at local independent bookstore P&T Knitwear in partnership with Russ & Daughters as they publish their first ever cookbook, RUSS & DAUGHTERS: 100 YEARS OF APPETIZING.
A Lower East Side institution for over 100 years, Russ & Daughters has helped to put the neighborhood and Jewish foods on the map for generations of New Yorkers and people across the globe.
On September 20, we’re celebrating Russ & Daughters and the Lower East Side community with free walking tours, giveaways, a live podcast recording, meet-and-greets with the Russ family, and a kid-friendly neighborhood scavenger hunt with a a chance to win a prize basket valued at more than $500.

Free walking tour of the Lower East Side led by Niki Russ Federman, 4th-generation co-owner of Russ & Daughters learning neighborhood history and favorite sites through the Russ family’s eyes. Space is extremely limited. RSVP here.

Free walking tour of the Lower East Side led by Dan Slater, author of The Incorruptibles, focusing on early 20th century history of the Lower East Side, including organized crime, Jewish gangsters, and food. Space is extremely limited. RSVP here.

Behind The Scenes of Russ & Daughters and the Lower East Side: A live recording of the Firewall podcast, where host Bradley Tusk, P&T Knitwear owner, will interview Russ & Daughters co-owners Niki Russ Federman and Josh Russ Tupper about their new book, their memories on the Lower East Side, and facilitate audience Q+A.
